Personal Profile

Hala Alnaji is a curator, artist, and PhD researcher at the School of Architecture & Cities at the University of Westminster, London. She holds a master’s in architecture and has pursued advanced research in Decolonizing Architecture at the Royal Institute of Arts, Stockholm, as well as curatorial studies at Konstfack University. Hala curated the "Decolonizing Arts and Counter-speculations" exhibition in Gaza and served on the jurors committee for the Palestinian Cultural Fund Grants. Her diverse career includes roles with NGOs and academic institutions worldwide, such as researcher with Fargfabriken in Stockholm, visiting researcher at the University of Palestine in Gaza, and lecturer at the University of Brighton. She has presented and published widely across Europe and the Middle East. In 2022, she authored her first book, “Scatterers in the Shadow”. Hala’s work bridges art, architecture, and research, focusing on decolonisation, spatial practice, and cultural narratives.
